The mission of Haleema Welfare Clinic is to provide free medical and mental health treatment to the families who reside in this area. One of our priorities is treat women and children. Pakistan has the second highest infant mortality rate in the world. To save infant lives we are reaching out to pregnant women and newborns. One in thirty women dies during or right after childbirth in Pakistan. This rate is much higher in villages and remote areas where no records are kept of these incidents. This brought us to realize a need for labor and delivery rooms (Birthing Station).
Because all the family funding was being consumed in the building and treatment of patients, we approached USAID to fund equipment and supplies for a labor and delivery room, we had the extra room available for it. Our applications were rejected.
We are grateful to a doctor from the United States of America who donated all the equipment for the labor and delivery room. We now have fully equipped and staffed delivery rooms at Haleema Welfare Clinic. We appreciate all the donations big and small from the United States of America.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
